Pep Guardiola Confirms Manchester City Exit After 10 Years

Share f X W in

Pep Guardiola has officially confirmed that he will leave Manchester City after spending a decade at the club.

The Spanish manager announced his decision in a statement released on Friday.

“And what a time we have had together,” Guardiola said.

“Don’t ask me the reasons I’m leaving. There is no reason, but deep inside, I know it’s my time.”

Guardiola is set to depart the Etihad Stadium despite still having one year remaining on his current contract with the Premier League champions.

The 55-year-old leaves Manchester City as one of the most successful managers in the club’s history.

During his 10-year spell at City, Guardiola won 20 trophies, including six Premier League titles and one UEFA Champions League trophy.

In his final season, Guardiola guided City to a domestic cup double but narrowly missed out on another Premier League title following a 1-1 draw against AFC Bournemouth.

His departure marks the end of a historic era at Manchester City, where he transformed the club into one of the dominant forces in European football.
