Reality TV star and actress, Bam Bam, was reportedly thrown into distress after her mobile phone allegedly went missing during the service of songs held in honour of late Nollywood actor Alexx Ekubo.
The memorial event, which took place on Wednesday, brought together family members, colleagues and friends to celebrate the life of the actor, who reportedly passed away in May after battling a prolonged illness.
Videos from the emotional gathering had earlier circulated online, showing mourners paying tribute to the late actor and reflecting on his impact on the entertainment industry.
However, amid the sombre atmosphere, reports emerged that Bam Bam’s phone had disappeared while she was among the guests at the event.
In a trending video shared online, the former Big Brother Naija housemate was seen alongside a few attendees searching for the missing device.
One of the voices captured in the footage could be heard saying that attempts were being made to reach the phone.
“They are calling the phone and it is ringing, but nobody is picking,” the voice said.
The development sparked reactions online, with many Nigerians expressing disappointment that such an incident could allegedly occur during a solemn gathering organised to honour the memory of the late actor.
As of the time of filing this report, Bam Bam has not publicly addressed the incident or confirmed whether the phone has been recovered.
The circumstances surrounding the alleged disappearance of the device also remain unclear.
The service of songs for Alexx Ekubo drew several notable figures from the entertainment industry, many of whom shared emotional tributes and prayers in remembrance of the actor’s life and career.
