“I slept with a 16 year old when I was 30” — British Comedian Russell Brand admits in an interview

British comedian Russell Brand has opened up about a past relationship that has sparked conversation.

Speaking in an interview, he revealed that, at age 30, he was involved with a 16-year-old, noting that the age of consent in the UK is 16.

He, however, acknowledged that beyond legality, the situation raised concerns due to the power imbalance at the time, as he was already a public figure.

According to him, such dynamics can be exploitative, even when consensual, adding that he now views his past actions as selfish and lacking proper consideration for how it may have affected the other person.
