JAMB Opens Portal For 2026 UTME Candidates To Print Original Result Slips

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced that candidates who participated in the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) can begin printing their Original Result Slips from Wednesday.

The announcement was made by JAMB’s Public Communication Adviser, Dr. Fabian Benjamin, in a statement issued in Abuja.

According to the board, the Original Result Slip contains several security features that make it the official and authentic record of a candidate’s UTME performance.

The document includes candidates’ photographs, national rankings and other important details required for admission processing by tertiary institutions across the country.

Dr. Benjamin explained that the Original Result Slip remains one of the key documents requested by universities, polytechnics and colleges of education during post-UTME screening and admission exercises.

He advised candidates to print the document using any internet-enabled device or visit accredited business centres for assistance.

The board also urged candidates to carefully review all information on the slip immediately after printing to ensure that their personal details and examination records are accurate.

Candidates were further encouraged to keep the document safe, as it will be required at different stages of the admission process.

JAMB noted that obtaining the Original Result Slip early would help candidates avoid last-minute difficulties when institutions begin screening and admission activities.

The examination body therefore advised all 2026 UTME candidates to take note of the release date and ensure they print their Original Result Slips ahead of admission procedures into their preferred institutions.

The Original Result Slip serves as an official proof of a candidate’s UTME performance and is often required for admission verification, clearance and other academic purposes.
